The brief
What if your office could be anywhere in the city?
Hobnob was built around a simple idea: turn the city’s cafés, restaurants and pubs into flexible workspaces for the modern workforce. We designed and built the SaaS platform that made it possible.
Instead of another traditional coworking network, Hobnob used spaces that already existed across Bangalore and made them discoverable, available and bookable through a single platform.

Find, book, work
A subscriber could search for workspaces nearby, choose a venue and reserve a dedicated table for up to six hours.
About ₹350, coffee included.
Guests could be added to the booking, so a café table worked as a temporary office, a meeting room or a place to collaborate.
The platform
The experience was backed by a complete SaaS application connecting users, venues and bookings.
Location discovery
Find participating venues nearby.
Availability
Identify bookable spaces at each venue.
Workspace booking
Defined duration and capacity.
Guests
Bring colleagues or clients.
Venue management
For participating cafés, restaurants and pubs.
Subscriptions and payments
Workflows supporting the commercial model.
User dashboards
Manage bookings and activity.
Booking management
Connecting the customer experience with venue operations.

A new way of working
Hobnob wasn’t trying to replace the office with another office. It used spaces that already existed and gave people a reason to use them differently.
Someone working from home could change their surroundings for the day. A freelancer could meet a client somewhere more relaxed than an office. A small team could meet around a table without keeping a permanent workspace.
The city itself became the workspace.

The build
It was an interesting SaaS challenge because the technology had to connect location discovery, venue inventory, availability, bookings, subscriptions, payments and guest management into one coherent system.
The result turned a distributed network of existing venues into a bookable coworking ecosystem.
